Shakin' Dudi

Irek Dudek - a bluesman in his thirties, Darek Dusza - the leader of the punk rock crew Śmierć Kliniczna, plus jazz musicians... Did such a personal configuration have a chance to succeed? An album recorded practically "in one go", in a single take... The result? "Gold Record" - 36 minutes that shook the Polish music scene in the mid-eighties of the last century.
"Gold Record" turned out to be a real hit factory. "Au sza la la", "Think about what you're doing", "It's you, sweetie", "In ten minutes it'll be the thirteenth" and of course "Oh Ziuta". Songs that were sung far and wide in those days. Shakin' Dudi filled the biggest concert halls in Poland, and the record - with a title as ironic as it was provocative - went platinum. It even had a successful sequel in 2008. Importantly, the songs from the "Gold Record" have not aged a bit, both musically and in terms of the message in the lyrics. Even "In ten minutes it'll be the thirteenth" - after a slight cosmetic touch to the hour in the title - is back in vogue after more and more cities began to introduce nighttime prohibition in their areas...
