Boogie Boys

Since their inception in 2002, they have visited almost all European countries and several on other continents. They have three studio albums to their credit, and their concerts enjoy exceptional popularity wherever they appear. They have performed alongside many stars (as support or back-up band): Shakin' Stevens, Ray Manzarek (The Doors), Eric Burdon (The Animals), Chris Barber, Phill Guy, Studebaker John, James Harman, Rod Piazza, Big Bill Morgenfield, The Mofo Party Band, Mike Sanchez, Ana Popovic, and others...

In February 2009, Boogie Boys, as the only band outside the USA, became a finalist in the world's largest blues competition, "International Blues Challenge - Memphis, USA". After this success, others followed: In July 2009, their album "HEY YOU!" was released, followed by a tour in Canada, including performances at the biggest festivals: "Montreal Jazz Festival", "Mont-Tremblant Blues Festival" and "Quebec City Music Festival".

In 2010, they embarked on a concert tour in California - USA, and in the "Blues Top" poll, they were chosen as the 'Blues Band of the Year 2009". The album "Hey You!" was also a finalist in the "Best Self-Produced Album - International Blues Challenge 2010". The band's leader Bartek Szopiński, as well as other group members, have been repeatedly awarded the titles of "Pianist of the Year", "Instrumentalist of the Year" according to the readers of "Twój Blues" magazine.

In 2011, they represented Poland at the 1st European Blues Challenge in Berlin, where they were among the winners of the "TOP 3". They also performed at the largest Scandinavian festival, the famous "Nottoden Blues Festival".

Their latest album "Made in Cali" was entirely produced in the USA with the participation of fantastic guests (including guitarist Ron Thompson who collaborated with stars like: John Lee Hooker, Etta James, Tina Turner). The music producer of the album is John Clifton, an acclaimed harmonica player, composer, and vocalist.

In 2013, the album was recognized as the "Album of the Year" in the "BLUES TOP 2012" poll.
